The cops in Birmingham have been out in force looking for those a little 'too' enthusiastic about the local races.
Motorcyclists cruising Interstates 459 and 20 into Birmingham on Friday for the weekend races at Barber Motorsports Park found both freeways wrapped up with police.
Thirty-six officers were on duty in patrol cars, helicopters and motorcycles looking for reckless drivers.
At last year's races, troopers were involved in 10 high-speed chases with motorcycles. Birmingham trooper Capt. Robert Goodner decided that wasn't going to happen this year.
