Apparently Harley-Davidson is opening its first dealership in China next month, marking the legendary motorcycle dealer's entry into the Far Eastern economy.

"Beijing Harley-Davidson," partnered with the Chinese dealership Beijing Feng Huo Lun will be located in Beijing's Fourth Ring Road, just outside the downtown area, and just within limits of motorcycle operation. Motorcycles are not permitted within the city's Third Ring Road, a 30-mile highway that circles the city center.

The dealership will have the standard 14 staff members initially and be headed by Feng Huo Lun's founder and executive director Wan Jidong. Wan and his management team are passionate about riding motorcycles and understand the market in China.

Man, just imagine how fast those giant dragons they use in Chinese parades would go if there was a chopper under there.
