The Mall of America spans more than 80 acres of shops, restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment, featuring Camp Snoopy, an indoor amusement park (including a roller coaster!) and the LEGO Imagination Center featuring 90 gigantic displays made out of legos including a 25 foot tall clock tower, a giant blimp, dinosaurs, spaceships, and more. The themepark is free, but the rides aren't. You can buy an unlimited ride one-day wristband for $24.95 or a "points" that works like a debit card. pass (Each point costs $.80)

• Fort Snelling State Park
Follow the Mississippi River for a stop at historic Fort Snelling where there is something for everyone to see and do. Located on Pike Island, in the heart of the Twin Cities, this scenic state park offers extensive hiking, bike and ski trails that link to Minnehaha Park and the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Canoe on Gun Club Lake, play golf, swim in Snelling Lake, or hike on Pike Island where the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers converge. Interpretive exhibits and films on display in the Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center give visitors a good background on the history and resources of the park and area. Trails also allow visitors to hike up to the historic Fort Snelling for a view of military life in the 1820s. This is a day-use only park; no camping is available.
