If you file a complaint, and a decision is made in your favor, you could receive:

• Reinstatement at the same seniority
  
• Back pay, with interest
  
• Pay for damages, including attorney’s fees and litigation costs.
  

However, you can be fined for bringing frivolous suits. Remember, make sure you really do have reason to blow the whistle and the evidence to back it up. And if you’re retaliated against, make sure your complaint is legitimate, or you could be the loser in the whole case.
