The less time you spend refereeing employee disputes, and the less time employee spend embroiled in disputes, the more productive your company will be. It’s as simple as that. Every minute employees spend arguing with each other is a minute wasted.

Also, there is the indirect effect of Workplace Conflict. Stress is a huge concern among today’s businesspeople. And conflicts of any sort, whether personality clashes or true conflicts over ideas and values, adds considerable stress to the workplace. And that stress and low morale spreads quickly throughout teams—no one is safe from the effects of a conflict, no matter how far from the actually conflict they are.

For the sake of your company, and the health and relationships of your employees, don’t sweep conflict under the rug. Teach employees to be open, deal with the issues, and enhance their job experiences.
