After an exhilarating day of Beverly Hills and Hollywood, the Getty Museum will be a cultural experience you won’t forget. The night of your second day you deserve a relaxing evening under the starts at the Hollywood Bowl.

J. Paul Getty Center: The Getty Center is the current home of the J. Paul Getty Museum. It is located on a hill in Brentwood, Los Angeles overlooking Interstate 405. It is open to the public for free but there is a charge for parking. Many of the buildings and grounds are constructed of travertine and parts are made of white marble. The museum is home to classical sculpture and art, European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, decorative arts and photographs. The Getty Center houses such paintings as Irises by Van Gough and King of France and Navarre by Hyacinthe Rigaud. This interesting museum is home to a 134,000 square-foot Central Garden.

Hollywood Bowl: The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheatre located at 2301 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood. It is used primarily for music performances and has been opened since 1922. It is the summer home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. The band shell that graces the stage area gives the Bowl a distinctive look. The Hollywood Sign is visible, though several miles away, on a clear day at the Bowl. Through the years the Bowl has been updated (a new bowl in 2004) with video cameras, large screens on either side of the stage, lighting towers, many cameras allowing for close-up views and electronic amplification.
