First of all, you can have a beautiful, fade-resistant lawn anywhere: on a city roof top, the middle of the desert or in good-ole suburbia. As mentioned above, the end of lawn care as it is commonly known is a huge selling point. Caring for a traditional lawn takes much time and money. People are eager to rid themselves of lawn care for a variety of other reasons: maybe they want to be able to go on vacation for weeks at a time and not have to worry about their grass. Retirees and people in declining health are freed up to spend their time and energy on more enjoyable tasks. Environmentalists like the idea of not wasting water on lawns, not to mention not using numerous pesticides to alleviate unwanted bugs and weeds. Believe it or not, many companies claim that one of the biggest reasons people get synthetic grass is that they are sick and tired of their pets ruining their lawns. Some communities even install what is known as “dog runs” which are areas landscaped with synthetic grass made specifically for dogs to enjoy the outdoors and not damage anyone’s property.
