Most are not very expensive and yet can look magnificent when done correctly.

Create one point in your garden that will capture attention, and then build the rest of the garden around that.

Gazebos, arbors, or pillars are large enough to be the center of attention, perhaps with plants, and yet will not look overpowering.
Sculptures can be lovely, artsy, or fun. With sculptures, you can add the right mood to your garden.
Bird houses, feeders, or baths are excellent attention-grabbers. Not only may the pieces themselves be beautiful, but the birds that they attract will also be quite enjoyable to watch.
Fountains or garden art can be very picturesque; sometimes they also add to the atmosphere by creating soothing sounds.
