If camping is a little too “rough” for you or if you’d really just like luxurious Kentucky accommodations, consider staying in a resort. Kentucky offers a myriad of resorts to its visitors including lakeside cottages, condominiums with golf courses, and more. Here are some of the Kentucky resorts and what they’re like:

• Hickory Hill Resort. Located in Benton, Kentucky, this secluded and serene resort features 12 cottages with one to six bedrooms. Each comes with luxuries like a floating tan deck, fine linens, and grills. Located right on Kentucky Lake, you can also rent water toys (like boats) or simply enjoy the view from the numerous sports areas, picnic table, hiking trails, or heated pools. Rental rates range from $115 to $345 per day, or $575 to $2,575 per week.
• Woodson Bend Resort. This resort and golf course are found in Bronston, Kentucky. Surrounded by Lake Cumberland and nestled in the trees, this cozy resort has 100 condominiums that sleep up to eight people. In addition to the golf, there is tennis, hiking, and many other sports opportunities. A little simpler than the Hickory Hill, they are less expensive and thus often perfect for families. Daily rates are $63 to $150, and weekly rates are between $225 and $950.
• Villager Resort. This vacation resort boasts rental cabins situation right on Lake Cumberland. There are twenty cabins on the property, varying in size from two to eight bedrooms (up to 16 people). Recreational opportunities at the resort include tennis, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, shuffle board, video games, hiking, swimming, trophy fishing, water skiing, and more. The rate for these cabins is between $115 and $185 each day, or if you wish to stay a week, they cost $575 to $1,850.
• Chop Chestnut Resort. This lovely resort is secluded on a beautiful country property in the middle of all nature’s glory. Featuring several different log and cedar cabins able to accommodate from two to eight people, they have various amenities like Jacuzzis and fireplaces in some of the cabins. Well-behaved pets are even allowed. Nearby recreations include beginner rock climbing, hiking, fishing, golfing, museums, and more. The price of the cabins is from $99 to $149 a night.
