Milan (Milano)

Milan is Italy’s most sophisticated city. It is home to both financial powerhouses and fashion design legends (Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, and Armani are just a few). The Duomo di Milano, located on the main square in the center of Milan, is one of the most famous buildings in all of Europe. It is a massive and elaborate Gothic Cathedral.

 

Milan is most well-known for being home to Leonardo’s masterpiece The Last Supper, which is painted on a wall at the convent of Santa Maria della Grazie. In terms of musical fame, the Teatro della Scala is the world’s most illustrious opera house.
