Florence, Italy is one of the most inspiring cities on earth. Full of remarkable artwork, stunning architecture, and enough mesmerizing history to boggle and fascinate the mind, it is a city everyone should try to visit someday. Art lovers should grant themselves the gift of traveling there numerous times, for once is hardly enough to unearth all the treasures Florence offers her guests.
Though three days is not much in a city you could spend a lifetime enjoying, it still allows you ample time to hit the highlights and see the major sights. The following itinerary requires moving quickly, but allows you a wonderful overview of the world’s Renaissance city.
*Note: Before you depart for your trip, purchase tickets for both the Uffizi Gallery and the Galleria Dell’Accademia through the Internet or by calling the galleries directly (they have English-speaking operators). You will save yourself a significant amount of time waiting in long lines.
