Day One

There are many little hidden treats throughout Iowa to have a great breakfast and it can give you the kick-start you need to prepare for any activities that are going to be happening and when visiting such a state, you will need as much energy as possible.

 

One place you need to visit that comes highly recommended is the Waveland Café and it has been given a massive five out of five and with many homemade pancakes, French toasts and breakfasts, you will be spoilt for choice whilst not forking out a fortune to feed the family.

If you decide to visit Iowa during the beginning of August this year then I strongly suggest paying a visit to the state fair. There are various events available over the 10 day period and there will be something for people of all ages from petting zoos, giant fun slides and for the adults various arts and crafts and much more to keep everyone entertained for the day.

Within the confines of the grounds, you will find many different places to sit down and have a meal whilst enjoying yourself in a relaxing atmosphere and taking part in a yearly tradition for this major farming community. Locals and visitors alike can enjoy this state fair.

 

The Flamingo Pizza Palace has been running for 40 years and create many pizzas that are oven baked and despite it being a major pizzeria, it also offers steaks, sandwiches, seafood and much more.
