Iowa was a very advanced city in terms of the way goods were transported throughout the state and beyond and in 1856 the first railroad journey was conducted which in turn isolated the steam boats that were used but the arrival of railroads put Iowa on the map along with man other states.

It transformed the state forever and today it is a great farming community that allows easy transportation of various essential goods throughout the United States.

The technological advancements that Iowa had to offer are still evident today and this put it on the map as a major part of United States history and whilst every town and major city has a history to speak of, Iowa really shouts this out and many landmarks still stand today which showcase its great history.
