What most people know is that they already have the pop-up blocker programs already on their computer, unless they are using an older version of windows that may not be to date. It will usually be located on the tool bar or within the Internet options. The programs that already have a popup blocker within their capabilities are: America Online 9.0, Avant Browser, Crazy Browser, Enigma Browser, K-Meleon, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape 7 & 8, Camino, Galeon, Epiphany, Internet Explorer (with Windows XP Service Pack 2), OmniWeb, Opera, Maxthon, Netcaptor, Safari, Slim Browser and Konqueror. Many of these Internet browsers work differently so you may have to work with “Help” function on your specific Internet browser.

If you do not have one of these browsers, there are also some other programs that have popup advertisements blockers separate from browsers. Some of these are Google Toolbar, Yahoo! Toolbar, MSN Toolbar, KillAd, NoAds, Super Ad Blocker, Pop-up Stopper, Pop-Up Sentry, Proxomitron, and Bayden Systems Popup Blocker. These can easily be found by typing the names into a search engine. Many of these are also freeware that can be picked for no cost.
