Parks are some of the most well-know and established areas to skate. Miles and miles of paths are shared with cyclists, joggers and walkers. Parks offer beautiful scenery, including exquisite gardens in some places, and not to mention, they often provide a great shade cover under the canopy of well established trees. If inline skating in a park congers up images of Central Park in New York City, you are not alone. Thousands enjoy skating along the six mile loop. Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri, home of the famous 1904 World’s Fair, is also a popular place for inline skaters. The loop in Forest Park is over 8 miles. Large metropolitan parks across the globe, from Lumpini Park in Bangkok, Thailand, to Hyde Park in London, England, provide nice areas to lace up (or buckle up!) and roll. Thousands and thousands of communities have smaller parks with well paved areas perfect for skaters. The paths may not be quite as extensive as the larger, metropolitan parks, but they can provide as good a place to exercise and enjoy the great outdoors.
