Miscellaneous Information about replacement parts

Wheels and bearings will eventually have to be replaced if you use your skates regularly. When it is time to replace these items, you will find a lot of variations. Wheels, for example, come in different sizes. The smaller wheels are generally for trick skating while the largest sizes are for racing. Be sure that the wheels you select will fit the frame of your skates. Wheels also come in different levels of strength or hardness. Bearings are rated with an ABEC number: the higher the number, like 7, the greater the precision of the bearing. There is debate as to whether this really affects speed or not. If you happen to break a buckle or fastener or even your frame, then go to a skate shop and inquire about replacement parts. Generally speaking, repairs can be easily made to your inline skates.
