Inline skating may begin with a few awkward steps on grass or carpet. But the opportunities are limitless. Inline skating marathons are gaining popularity. Many brave souls have purchased inline skates with a goal of completing a marathon in a few short months. It can be done. Other inline skating opportunities include inline hockey, competitive speed skating, artistic inline skating, dancing, aggressive or freestyle skating and other forms of trick skating. It seems that many sports that require snow or ice are now being enjoyed year-round, thanks to inline skates.
