Good fitting inline skates must meet the criteria of being snug on your foot with out being uncomfortably tight. Liz Miller at www.getrolling.com offers some things to consider when you are trying on inline skates:

1. Does the tongue of the boot feel uncomfortable on your shin or calf?
2. Is the boot too narrow and you feel pressure on the widest part of your foot?
3. When you bend your knees, so you feel a crease across the top of your foot?
4. Is it hard to wiggle your toes?
5. Are there any specific pressure points anywhere on the boot?
6. When you are standing straight, do your toes not lightly touch the end of the boot?
7. When you are bending over like you are skating, do your toes touch the end of the boot?
8. Do your heels move up and down easily in the boot?

If you answer “Yes” to any of the above questions, keep trying on boots until the answers are all “no”.
