Many companies do not think that they have information that is valuable enough to shred, however here are just a few documents that contain information which would need to be shredded in order to secure clients information such as: medical records, financial statements, legal briefs, old files, research reports, credit card receipts, computer Disks / CDs diskettes, microfiche, microfilm, data tapes, multi-media of all types, mis-manufactured or printed material, and damaged or returned products. A business might not have much paper that needs to be shredded, but they might have plastics and other media that need to be destroyed. There are also companies that specialize in the destruction of audio tapes, film, CDs, circuit boards, and magnetic tapes.
