Electronic components happen to be the number one element that factories use when building electronic products. Such products as TVs, radios, computers, and other electronic products rely on electronic components to work. Without these components, these products would be just a shell without the ability to function. Companies hire people to put these components into boards for the company. These people are known as assemblers by some industry leaders. Other departments also work with electronic components but in a different aspect. There are many different types of electronic components that assemblers work with. There are also components that are built into circuits that are ready-made for assemblers to install in printed circuit boards. In this article some of these components will be discussed fully. Here are some components assemblers may work with:

• Load cells: There are many electronic components that assemblers work with including resistors, capacitors, transistors, and others. But there is also one type of component that is usually installed on a printed circuit board to control a circuit or circuits. This component is a load cell. There are many load cells on the market that work in different ways. Strain gage based load cells are the most common load cell used. Load cells are designed based on their type of output required: pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, or by the way they detect weight such as in bending, shearing, compression, and tension.
• Optoelectronics: This is a field of technology where light and electricity combines. Optoelectronics is based on the principle of the LED (Light Emitting Diode). These are colored lights you see in electronic equipment, appliances, toys, signs, and more. LEDs come in many different color lights. Optoelectronics works by taking electrical signals and converting them into photon signals. After this is accomplished, you see the results of the conversion by way of the shining LED.
• Voltage controlled oscillators: These are components where the principle element is a varactor diode (a special diode used in radio FM band circuits for amplification). This type of oscillator works differently from any other oscillator. This one is controlled by a voltage and is tuned in such a way that the dc voltage applied to the diode is a clean voltage, which allows the circuit to produce variations in capacitance. Capacitance is a term meaning how much direct current is being stored in a capacitor before the capacitor starts to discharge. This capacitance allows the frequency to be adjusted accordingly.
