Indianapolis is the home of the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the most famous car race in history, the Indianapolis 500. The Motor Speedway, also known as “The Brickyard,” is located at 4790 W. 16th St.
 
Indianapolis is also known as the “Amateur Sports Capital of the World” because of its propensity to host the PanAmerican games and the Olympic Trials. The city is also home to the NCAA Headquarters and the NCAA Hall of Champions, located at 700 W. Washington St.
