A visit to the astronaut gallery is just one of the exhibits and here you can read up on all the astronauts that have flown into space but for something more adventurous then you must try the centre hub of the action. Here you will feel and witness the experience of a flight blasting off and after a successful dock at the International Space Station, you will enter the Blastoff Theater for an update on current shuttle missions as well as details on exploring the “red planet” mars. There are many other great exhibits to witness and these are just a couple to mention but overall you will have an enjoyable trip out and you can learn a lot from just a few hours at the Space Station. To find the museum you need to head south from downtown Houston for about 25 minutes and you will reach the Space Station, it is open from 10am – 5pm Monday – Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday with prices for adults being $18.95 and children $14.95.
For your last day in Houston, you may want a little bit of simplicity with your meal but for excellent cuisine in a relaxed yet traditional atmosphere then a visit to Lynn’s Steakhouse. Meals are served from 5pm to 10pm Monday to Saturday where about from steak you can enjoy an alternative selection of meats or fresh seafood if you would prefer. Prices vary greatly on your choice but appetizer’s range from $8 - $11 to main courses averaging at $22 - $40. One popular choice is the Lobster which is broiled to taste and served with hot butter, this is at the current market rate or you could try the seafood combo for $26.95 which comprises of sea bass, salmon, tuna and shrimp.
