There are two options for your home installation needs. The first is in your own hands. If you can sit down and read the instruction booklet and have a good amount of mechanical understanding, then you should be able to put the system together. Many home theater systems are now color coded so that you all you have to do is match up your speakers with the inputs on the back of the receiver. Or if you have that friend that knows a lot about speaker set-up, you may want to give him/her a call.

The other option that you have is to request set-up help from the place that you purchased your home theater system from. Though Wal-Mart and Sam’s plans that enable you to get someone from their business to come to your house and install your equipment, stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City do. Not only will this technician put the system together in the correct way, he may also give you advice on where to place speakers in your room for the best sound. This service is sometimes a little expensive, but it can be well worth it if you really want a great sound experience with little work on your end.
