Digital Music Managers and MP3 Players

The world of digital music managers used to be huge before the introduction of the portable MP3 players. Digital music managers were basically a hard-drive that would keep your music so that you didn’t have to worry about switching your CD’s around at parties. But with the introduction of the I-Pod and other MP3 players, they have become almost extinct. The MP3 player brings many positive attributes to your Home Theater system.

If you have an MP3 player, then you probably have already loaded most of your music onto it. This will alleviate your need for a large supply of CD’s next to your Home Theater system and might stop your purchase of a CD player entirely. MP3 players will usually have a headphone jack on them since most of them are used portably to play music while walking down the street. If you go out to your electronics store, you should be able to grab a cord, which has a headphone jack on one end, and then splits into a red and white RCA cord. This cord can be plugged into the back of the receiver for an AUX input and then plugged in at anytime. Also many Home Theater systems allow for MP3 players to be plugged directly into the DVD player or the stereo receiver with your USB cord. Refer to your Home Theater System manual for more information on how to use your MP3 player with your system.
