The technology for light-rejecting television screens is on the rise these days, as more consumers are wanting large or high-def television screens but can't feasibly create an atmosphere without light glaring on the screen.

The latest in these screens is the standalone company Xscreen.

Xscreen systems are made of special daylight film material overlaid on a hard glass surface that is totally flat. This kind of system is a shipping/logistics pain, but is said to produce images twice as bright with twice the contrast of conventional screens.
