Pros:
• You can achieve a look that you want
• May potentially cost less than hiring a professional to do the job
• You have the satisfaction of knowing you did the project yourself
Cons:
• If they are required, many people would not be able to rectify major structural repairs
• If you don’t know anything about D.I.Y. then as a first project it would be best to get professional help
• Should you be ill in the long term for example, this can cause your project to stand still and have to pay your mortgage for longer as a result of the delays
Think carefully about the pro’s and con’s of any major decisions that need to be made. Weigh them both up and if necessary then seek professional advice.
