• Measure the length of the first drop of paper and add at least three to six inches to allow for trimming both ends. Cut the first piece of paper to length and then unroll a second piece next to the first aligning it carefully before cutting.
• Choose a beginning spot somewhere that is not noticeable such as a corner in case the seam or pattern does not match up perfectly. Use a level to draw a vertical line about ½ inch wider than the width of your paper to guide you in hanging the paper straight.
• On pre-pasted paper, activate the glue by running a piece of paper through the water tray. Once the strip has been wet, allow it to drip over the trap a couple of seconds.
• Book the paper by folding the ends so that glue touches glue giving the glue time to activate. Fold the new ends into the center again being careful that you do not crease the paper.
• Holding the paper slightly away from the wall, line it up with the vertical mark. Remember to allow an overlap at the top for trimming. Very gently, push the wallpaper against the wall. If the paper needs adjusting, carefully slide it in place.
• Use a smoothing brush to force out any air bubbles moving from the center outward. Use a clean damp sponge to wipe the wallpaper removing any glue residue and helping to smooth out air bubbles.
• Use a razor or back edge of scissors to cut off excess paper at the ceiling and floor.
• Press edges down using a seam roller and wipe again with a clean damp sponge
• Repeat for each piece of paper, cutting around windows and doors.
