When you use hand tools you must take care to use them correctly. If you don’t, you will regret it. Here are some tips to follow for that will guarantee your safe use of your tools:

· Where protective glasses when using power tools or when chiseling, sanding, scraping, or hammering.

· When using knives, keep the blade sharp. Otherwise, a dull blade will make you use force and may cause you to slip, causing accidents.

· If your tool should develop a crack in the handle, throw it away and buy another. The hammer could fall apart in your hand and hurt you.

· If you are drilling or sanding something, be sure it is secure. Any slippage could cause you serious harm.

· Always keep a first aid kit handy. You never know when you might need it.
