» Best Places to Use Mirrors
There are certain places in the home that are naturally conducive for mirrors, possibly even need a mirror. The best way to decide where mirrors will be useful is to first decide what your goals are for that mirror.
If you need reflection (just to be able to see yourself), several perfect places are near the front door, the bedroom (perhaps above the dresser or vanity), and the bathroom, usually near the sink.
To help increase the illusion of size, mirrors are excellent tools in living and family rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and anywhere else where you may gather.
Several rooms will be benefited by the placement of mirrors to amplify the light. Rooms with poor lighting, studies and libraries, and any place where you are using candles or
sconces can have mirrors added to the walls or near the lights to help increase it.
Mirrors are very beneficial to people for their ability to magnify. This is most often used for magnifying faces for jobs such as shaving, tweezing eyebrows, etc. Perfect spots for these mirrors are the bathroom, bedrooms, and anywhere else people are likely to get ready in the morning.
Keep in mind that mirrors are not perfect everywhere. Consider the mirror’s purpose and if it will meet your desires in a particular location. Some people don’t like to see themselves exercising; so the work-out room would not be the best place for mirrors. Mirrors can also be distracting since they draw glances; so if you want to keep your own eyes or someone else’s focused, consider refraining from the use of mirrors in that location.
