My children can't reach our coat rack and so they toss their coats on the floor. What can we do?

There are child-sized coat trees available. These come in more appropriate heights for children and usually are about 45”-50” tall, though they can be found even smaller. You can find these in designs to match a more grown-up style, or constructed to look like a large crayon and even more kid-friendly looks. If you are limited on floor space, but have a wall handy to your door, consider hanging wall hooks within a manageable reach for your child. This will enable them to pick up after themselves and perhaps turn an otherwise dull hallway into something more useful.
