What other things can be used for candle holders?

You do not have to limit yourself to a product manufactured for the express purpose of holding candles. You can burn candles in any number of things, provided you choose appropriate, heat-resistant items. Teacups make a lovely holder for small candles. Baby food jars can be decorated and used as well. These make especially nice gifts for children to make for someone special. Glass vases, canning jars, and antique plates make lovely choices as well. You can also fill a bowl with pebbles or rocks and place tea-lights or other small pillar-type candles in the setting. Candlesticks can be made out things such as lead pipe. Get creative! There is probably something you already have that you don’t use on a regular basis that could be converted for use as a candle holder. Be wise with this, though – you want to make sure whatever it is you choose will be able to withstand the heat.
