Now, all you have left to do is put your music onto your iPod. This is so easy and fun, you'll be amazed. First, plug your iPod into your computer using the USB cable that came with the iPod. If you have iTunes open, you'll see your iPod pop up in the left column, under Library, Podcasts, etc. (The first time you plug in your iPod, you'll have to register it and name it.) There will be a little iPod icon with the name of your iPod next to it. A note about names: if there is more than one iPod in your household, you might want to give it a distinctive name. Naming it something like "My iPod" can be confusing if someone else names theirs the same thing. A good idea is to name it something like "John's iPod" or something that is unique to you. (By the way, it charges your iPod when you plug it into your computer. If you notice that the battery symbol on the screen is getting low, plug it in for a little while.)
Now that your iPod is plugged in, click on Library. All of your songs will be there. All you have to do now is select a song, click on it, and hold down the mouse button as you drag it into your iPod icon. To drag more than one song at a time, click on the top song, press shift and hold it down, and click on the bottom song. This will select the top song, the bottom song, and all of the songs in between. Then just click on the list and drag them all over at the same time.
