Guamanians are part of a diverse and growing culture, with ethnic groups like the Chamorro (which make up about 47% of the population), the Filipino (25%), whites (10%), Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and others making up the population. Though the individuals may speak many different languages, the primary languages of the country are Chamorro and English, and the primary religion is Roman Catholic, with all other religious followers totaling only 15% of the population. Asians are the largest minority group in Guam.

In year 2000, 154,623 people were living in Guam. 34.9% of them were 14 years old or younger, about 59% were between the ages of 15 and 64, and the remaining 6.01% were over 65. 73,584 of those individuals were female; the rest (80,978) were male. Usually the sex ratio is divided by age group. At birth, there are approximately 1.14 males for every female, while the difference soon lessons to 1.1 male per female.
