How do I get around Guam on a one week vacation?

If you’re visiting Guam for about a week or so, you’re going to need some way to get around. With all there is to do and see, there has to be some way for you to move from place to place (and Guam’s a bit too big for you to attempt walking it all, though hiking tours are an option for some of your time). Here are your major possibilities:

• Free airport pickup. At least your trip from the airport to your lodging and back will probably be covered by a free hotel shuttle.
• Public shuttles. Affordable shuttles to and from major attractions and shopping areas are available, and your hotel will probably help you coordinate the trip if you ask. You can even buy a 7-day pass for your whole week there.
• Rental cars. For those who will be traveling to less-visited places or wish to work on their own schedules, renting from agencies like Payless and Thrifty Car Rental is an option for as little as $15 a day or maybe an even-more reduced rate since you’ll be there a week.
• Taxis. There are always taxi cabs waiting around to pick up those who need a ride; however, check the prices. Rates may be more than you were hoping to pay.
