Paros

This Cycladic island is the perfect representation of the postcard picture of the Greek islands. The bleached white buildings are in perfect contrast to the bright-blue church domes, while the green sea stands out brilliantly against the golden sand beaches.
  • Beaches: Although the beaches in Paros may not be the most picturesque, they are still wonderful options for the traveler to partake of. The primary beach is found in the north of Paros, and is rocky with little surf. On the other side of the island is Golden Beach, located south of the city of Naoussa. It is a beautiful sandy beach, with crystal clear water. The view is also quite pleasing at Golden Beach.
  • Parika Town: This town boasts of cobbled streets beyond the harbor. For a wonderful view of the harbor, visitors can enjoy a hike up the monastery on the mountain over Parika. Here you can visit the 6th-century church of Our Lady of a Hundred Doors as well as the Venetian Kastro (fortress). There is even a delightful sandy beach nearby called Krios beach.
