The comparatively small island of Crete possesses breathtaking natural beauty with its long, sandy beaches as well as antiquated culture and history. As the largest island of Greece, visitors are extremely common, as they relax primarily in the overdeveloped north. However, the island holds considerable inner peace for those who want to explore the rugged mountainous interior or the west and south coasts.
