Golf Carts come in two forms: gas or electric. Although electric Golf Carts have come out on top in recent years due to their lack of pollution and noise, there are advantages to both types of cart.

The electric Golf Cart uses a bank of batteries to run an electric motor. They can be used all day and then recharged at night. When you are finished with it at the end of the day, you simply plug them into a standard power outlet to charge for the next use. The most common power choices are 36 volt or 48 volt.

Advances in technology have helped prolong the life of an electric Golf Cart. For example, regenerative braking has become a popular feature. Regenerative breaking causes the cart to recharge every time the cart slows down or goes downhill. This helps the battery last longer.

There are several advantages to an electric model. First of all, the level of noise and pollution is much lowers then a gasoline model. This is not only convenient, but allows you to use these vehicles inside if you choose to. Also, electric carts cost five to ten times less to operate then a gas model.

Although electric Golf Carts seem to have the edge over electric, there are many advantages. First of all, with gasoline vehicles you can always carry an extra can of gas with you in case you run out. This gives you a much greater range because you don't have to worry about plugging it into a wall. They are also great for towing because gasoline engines provide more power for carrying heavy loads.
