In the morning, check out the shops at the Zeil. The Zeil is the central shopping area in Frankfurt’s city center. The Zeligalerie mall and various department stores offer a wide range of products from top-of-the-line designer goods to everyday goods. The range in clothing is very extensive.

This afternoon is devoted to the history buff in you. Those interested in the historical development of Frankfurt and the surrounding area should make time to visit the exhibitions of the History Museum. Exhibits begin with history from the period between 1400 and 1520 and continue through to the 18th century. There is also a children's museum.

For dinner, try Tigerpalast. It offers international variety theatre along with a restaurant. The restaurant serves light, seasonal Mediterranean cuisine and has been awarded a Michelin star.

Tonight, catch a show at the Alte Oper, Frankfurt’s magnificent opera house. Since its reopening, the 19th century Alte Oper concert hall has been a vital part of the Frankfurt arts and culture scene. Alte Oper, with its acclaimed acoustics hosts a wide range of events in its Great Hall and Mozart Hall. International ensembles, soloists, symphonies, chamber orchestras, lieder recitals, jazz, rock, pop and even comedians grace the stage of this majestic building throughout the year.
