The three-day Atlanta trip is similar to the two-day Atlanta vacation. Add some activities to the ones listed for that trip and do your best to group your activities based on your location. The less time you spend getting from one spot to another, the more time you can spend at the spots themselves.
Keep day one from above: start out the day at the CNN Center, then relax over lunch at Centennial Olympic Park, and spend the afternoon at the Georgia Aquarium.
You can also push yourself a little bit on day one because with this three-day itinerary, you have a relaxing second day. Sleep in a little bit on day two, and then take a book and/or a Frisbee and head to Piedmont Park in Midtown for a true Atlanta experience. For lunch, head over to the Varsity, and in the afternoon, go back to the park or go check out Fox Theater. Hopefully, there will be a show in town the night you’re there.
As an alternative to this Midtown experience, spend your second day in Buckhead. Start out at the Atlanta History Center and then head over to Lenox Square or Phipps Plaza for shopping. Finally, stay in Buckhead and eat at one of the city’s premier restaurants, such as Canoe. Keep in mind, however, that this day is much more expensive than is the Piedmont Park alternative.
For your final day, steal the itinerary from the second day of the two-day itinerary described earlier. Start the day at the King sites on Auburn Avenue, then head over to the World of Coca-Cola and Underground Atlanta before catching the shuttle to the Braves game.
