If you’re trying to balance find a good deal at a great Atlanta location, you should look at these mid-priced accommodations. These hotels are, for the most part, in the business and tourist areas of town. Most of them are recognized chains that offer good service, but they save you money by eliminating some of the luxurious amenities of the top hotels.
If you want to stay downtown, check out the Residence Inn by Marriott and the Embassy Suites. The Embassy Suites in particular has an ideal location right on the edge of Centennial Olympic Park. You could walk out of your room at 9:00 and be inside the CNN Center by 9:05 (assuming that you ignore Embassy’s great free breakfast).
While downtown Atlanta has the big name sites, Buckhead has the shopping and fine dining, and the area also has several quality mid-priced hotels to accommodate its visitors. Like the downtown area, Buckhead has a Residence Inn by Marriott and an Embassy Suites. In addition, you may want to consider the fairly luxurious Crowne Plaza and the J.W. Marriott Hotel Lenox. The J.W. Marriott Hotel is right next to the Lenox Square Mall, the biggest mall in the southern United States.
As with the hotels in every category, you can save some money without sacrificing much quality by moving away from the prime locations of Buckhead and Downtown. In Midtown, check out the Four Seasons Hotel, and if you want to get away from the city altogether head to the Stone Mountain area. The Stone Mountain Park Inn and the Marriott Evergreen Conference Resort both offer impressive quality and have a location that the members of your family will love if they are traveling with you.
