If you ever worked for someone who requested that you fill out a special form as a promise to keep the information being revealed to you as confidential, you signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA). Basically, an NDA is a legal contract between two people which provides details about the confidential information that are to be shared among the two parties, the rights involved, and how restrictive the information is to be. In other words, the contract states that neither party will disclose to anyone what is contained in the contract, without the originator's permission. So in essence, the NDA creates a confidential relationship between the two parties so all secrets that are known are kept private.
