The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 assures safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women throughout the Nation. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, in the United States Department of Labor, has the primary responsibility for administering the OSH Act. The rights listed on the poster may vary depending on the particular circumstances.

Every employer covered by the non-discrimination and Equal Employment Opportunity law is required to post on its premises the poster, Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law. This notice must be posted prominently, where employees and applicants for employment can readily see it. The notice provides information concerning the laws and procedures for filing complaints of violations of the laws with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.
