Standard table sizes are measured by the actual playing surface, from the cloth covered nose of the cushion rubber to the opposite cushion rubber. The 8 foot table measures 44"x88", the oversized or pro 8 table measures 46"x92", and the 9 foot table measures 50"x100". Tables are also available in a 7 foot table, with a playing surface of 39”x78” which is similar in size to most bar or coin operated tables.
A regulation size table is one where the playing area width is one-half the length, measured cushion to opposite cushion. The 7' table is the most popular. The 6’ table is nice where a 7’ table will not fit, however there is less challenging play. The 9’ table provides more challenge and is thus more fun to play on, however it requires a larger room.
