The next step up from a table top is a folding table. A folding table is a poker table that is designed to be easily stowed away when you’re not using it. They also contain the classic poker features. Many are available in octagonal and elliptical shapes, which are more conducive to accommodating 8 to 10 players comfortably. Folding fables are portable and relatively inexpensive, running from $200 to $500.
Convertible tables are designed to be multifunctional. It is made to serve both as a dining room table and a poker table. They are made to be used as a sturdy piece of permanent furniture. Because of these features, convertible tables usually aren’t very portable and generally cost more than $500.
If you have the room and the money, you can get a poker table that is the same quality you’ll find in a casino. These tables are very functional and very professional. The downside is that they typically cost more than $1000.
If you are handy, perhaps the best option is to build your own table. You can make it with your own unique style, make it to fit your available space and is the cheapest way to go. You can usually make a table fore between one or two hundred dollars.
