What size sofa are you looking for?

Sofas are available in many sizes. The first thing you should do is measure the space you have available. Be sure to measure width, length, and height. This will help you decide what size sofa you should be looking for. There are several different sizes of sofas and measuring will help to narrow your choices. If space is limited, you might be interested in a smaller sofa. A small sofa is called a loveseat.  A loveseat seats two people comfortably. Although the size varies from sofa to sofa, the average size for a loveseat is 69” wide X 39” deep X 38” high.  Loveseats are great for apartments, small rooms, or used as an accent piece to a regular sized sofa. A regular sized sofa will sit three to four people comfortably. Its size averages 92” wide X 40” deep X 38” high and again will vary from sofa to sofa and brand to brand. If the sofa will be placed in a large room and you are interested in seating more than four people, a sectional would be a good idea. Sectional sofas need more space than a traditional sofa. They are capable of seating several guests and are perfect for the entertainer. Sectionals may consist of more than one piece, and often have a different shape than a traditional sofa.
