It is important to first figure out what your independent style is. Look around your home, especially in the room in which you wish to place your recliner. Look at the existing furniture, the
window treatments, and other accessories. You will want to match the color and style of your new recliner with the existing décor already present in the room. Do you tend to enjoy modern furniture or a more traditional style? The good thing about recliners is that there are so many types to choose from and there is one available for each individual style. It is important for you to determine what you like and then blend it with your entire room. Your recliner will, most likely, become a pleasant focal point of the room, but you should do your best to keep it from looking out of place.

The size of your recliner becomes an important consideration, simply because the size can fluctuate from brand to brand. It is a good idea to evaluate the space you have available, paying close attention to the wall space. There are some that are designed specifically for the consumer that has limited wall space and other types that completely recline for those that are not as concerned with space. Manufactures have made it quite easy to find the perfect recliner for each individual situation.

The price of a recliner will vary between brands and manufactures and will depend largely on its quality and style. Recliners may fluctuate in price anywhere from $100.00 to $2,000.00. It is a good idea to come up with a price that you are willing and able to afford. Remember this price when you begin to shop and try not to veer away from it. Sticking to your determined price range will allow your to complete your shopping experience with ease and keep your from spending outside of your financial ability.
· What are your Intentions?
It is important to consider exactly what your intentions for your new recliner are. Are you placing the recliner in the family room for the entire family to enjoy, or will it be used more for additional seating in your formal living room? Answering these questions and being familiar with your intended use will help narrow your choices and create a more enjoyable shopping experience.
