If your school provides the bed for your dorm room, make sure you find out the size of the bed and whether the bed can be bunked with your roommate’s.
Most schools will provide twin beds for dorm rooms, but there are exceptions, and you will want to bring the right sheets for your room. Bring at least two pairs of sheets, along with any comforters and pillows that you want. Dorm room beds also double as study areas, so it’s a good idea to have an extra pillow or a back rest to lean up against the wall as you work.
Bunked beds provide a significant amount of additional floor space, but if you and your roommate choose not to bunk your beds, consider purchasing bed raisers or using cement blocks to set your beds an extra six to twelve inches off the ground. This added floor space gives you valuable extra storage space.
