In most cases, you cannot be in a hurry to receive your recently ordered children’s furniture. You can normally expect about 30 days for your furniture to be delivered, with some furniture items taking up to 6-8 weeks to arrive at your doorstep. Occasionally you can find a quicker turnaround rate (some websites have furniture available that will be delivered in 6 business days); but in general, expect to wait.
Many companies offer free delivery but some do not. Most small orders will be shipped by UPS or another similar ground service. If you are making a large order, there is a high possibility that your furniture will be delivered by a truck line. If this is the case with your order, expect curbside delivery only, unless you pay extra for in-home delivery. The truck line should contact you before to insure that someone will be at your home at the time of delivery. At the time of delivery, it is your responsibility to inspect all contents before signing for your items. You will be expected to report any discrepancies immediately.
Some small items will not require assembly but most large pieces will, so be ready with your toolbox. Some companies will assemble the furniture at your home for you for an extra fee, of course; but this option is not offered very often over the internet.
