Start day three at one of the other famous Paris museums, the Musee d’Orsey. It houses an impressive collection of Impressionistic art, with artists such as Monet, Manet, Degas, and Renoir all represented. Renoir’s Moulin de la Galette is one of the most famous works on display.
When you are finished, you are only a handful of blocks from the Hotel des Invalides, more commonly referred to as Napoleon’s Tomb. You can tour the Musee de l’Armee to view weaponry through the ages and see the Emperor’s burial place in the Napoleon Chapel.
Take a break for lunch and make your way to Montmarte for a great view of Paris from Basilique du Sacre-Coeur. When you are finished exploring, make your way back down the hill to Paris’ most famous church, Notre Dame. Appreciate the cathedral’s gothic splendor as you say goodbye to the tremendous City of Light.
