Day Seven

There are several towns from which you choose, but Cannes is probably the most famous and alluring. It is home to the annual film festival in May that brings all of Hollywood’s elite to French shores. The promenade de la Croisette is the main thoroughfare, and it is lined with hotels, restaurants, and boutiques. If you feel like splurging on an outrageously priced (but divine) French meal, La Palme d’Or is the best in town.

 

For an over-the-top evening, cap off your week in France at the gambling tables in Monte Carlo, Monoco, France’s gloriously chic, tiny next-door-neighbor. Visiting provides a tremendous way to end your time in France and bid adieu to this treasure trove of art and history.
